Prepare for Employment program
75% of students who graduate from bestchance Training secure employment. We are offering a three day Prepare for Employment program specifically designed to provide participants with the necessary skills to gain employment.
As a result of attending this program participants will:
- Develop the key skills to build and improve your chances of securing employment
- Create a professional resume and gain support to prepare your application
- Learn the skills to effectively address selection criteria questions
- Practice your interview techniques
- Boost your confidence and communications skills
Date: 1 day a week for 3 weeks.
Time: 9:30am to 3pm (within school hours)

Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting (HLTAID004):
HLTAID004 is an intensive short course designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, until the arrival of medical or other assistance; with a specific focus on an Education and Care setting. Participants will manage the casualty or casualties, the incident and other firstaiders. Please note it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the floor.
Course content includes first aid management of:
- Cardiac arrest
- An unconscious casualty
- Bleeding and wounds
- Fractures, strains, sprains and dislocations
*Please note that ACEQA have stated the following via it’s website in relation to HLTAID004 – “This qualification satisfies all requirements for first aid, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma training”
bestchance Training offers two different types of streams for this course:
One day refresher program: This one day refresher course is aimed at those who are updating or refreshing their First Aid training. Students are required to complete reading of a pre-course workbook and answer a questionnaire prior to attending class. Students must submit their completed questionnaire on or before the morning of the workshop. Students should allow 2-4 hours to read the pre-course workbook and complete the questionnaire as well as 8 hours for class attendance.
Two day full program: This two day full course is aimed at anyone who is new at completing First Aid training.
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001):
This course covers all the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines. Please note it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the floor.
Course Outcome: Upon completion participants will be issued with a statement of attainment valid for 1year.
Course Duration: Half day, 3 hours
Entry Requirements: Nil however some pre-course work is required by the student
