Placement Requirements

this course requires 160 hours of practical placement

Students are required to undertake 160 hours of practical work placement.

This is to be undertaken over 6 weeks throughout the duration of the course, broken down into 3 2-week blocks of placement.

One block is with children aged between 0-2 years, the second block is with children aged 3+, and the final block may be with either age group.

Prior to the commencement of your work placement you must have a current Working with Children Check.

You will need to be reasonably fit in order to undertake work placement as the tasks and activities associated with the work placement may involve manual lifting and other physical activities.
