Supporting the Development of Children in the Early Years

Get practical tips to your phone from leading early childhood experts, for free! Launched on the 28th March, the Play, Learn, Grow program is a free text message service for parents and carers of 2 and 3 year olds.

Developed in collaboration with leading early childhood experts, this program provides parents and carers with information, practical advice and easy activities to do at home, supporting their child’s learning, development, health and wellbeing.

Participants of the program will receive 3 personalised text messages a week for 24 weeks with tips to support children with engaging in play, using social skills, self-care, interactive reading, learning new words, and much more.

This program is designed to:

  • Support the learning, development, health and wellbeing needs of children aged 2 and 3.
  • Provides practical information, advice, support, and fun and easy activity ideas to do at home.
  • Help lay the foundations for children to have success throughout their lives.
  • Strengthen parent and carer wellbeing as they balance a range of commitments.

Complement the existing support that health professionals and early childhood education and care services provide to families.
