Last week Teal group made a mud river in the dirt patch.
It started with a hole the children dug and were calling “the dam.” It was suggested that it may need a river to fill the dam with water.
The children quickly got started on digging a river and asking “can we fill it with water”?
Once the river was completed the children were given buckets of rain water from the water tank and they began to poor the water into the river trench and watched it flow down to the dam.
The children used seed pods and toy cars to see what would float down the river to the dam.
We discovered that rocks do not float, plastic cars and seed pods do.
Dirty, wet, muddy clothes were a sign we all had amazing fun.
