On Tuesday white group children enjoyed finger painting 4 trees representing the 4 seasons.
The children were excited to use their finger in place of a paint brush. Comments were made, such as “the paint is slimy”, “can we mix colour with our fingers”? The children discussed seeing snow and how they liked blossoms on trees.
Autumn was a favourite season and the children liked all the different colours they used to make the finger print leaves and talked about the songs we sang at group time about the leaves falling from the branches.
Bunjil the eagle has been a work in progress for a few weeks. We decided to create a collage after reading the dream time story. Today we hung him up on the wall so we could share our creation with the other kinder groups that share our room.
The children are so proud of their work and enjoy seeing it on display.
