The children, parents and Educators of Tarneit North Kindergarten were recently treated to a special event, their Culture Night.
The night was a chance for the children to explore other cultures within their own community. Families all bought a plate of food representing their culture to share. The night showcased the strong bonds and sense of community formed between the families, children and Educators.
The night began with a welcome from the staff of Tarneit North Kindergarten, thanking them for the year and looking forward with happiness to the months to come. To contribute to the night’s festivities, a local dance group gave a performance to the guests. The group, who are Hula dancers are currently raising money to visit Hawaii and learn from the specialists in the traditions of Hula.
The children, laughing and joining in the fun. There were tired but happy faces as guests began to leave. The event was a huge success, with all enjoying the food and entertainment. Culture Night was a lovely celebration of the diversity within the community, and the importance of sharing our heritage with those around us.
