At Emmanuel Anglican Kindergarten, our highly qualified and inspiring teachers will provide your child with an exciting and enriching educational experience.
In a carefully designed program, your child’s friendships are nurtured and supported, their confidence and independence are built, and their curiosity is stimulated by an environment that supports exploration. Our spacious environment allows for various play-based opportunities. Within this safe, caring and fun kindergarten environment, our lovely staff help further your child’s social and personal development, and provide fundamental elements to create a life-long love of learning.
We have large indoor and outdoor play spaces so that children have plenty of room to move and explore. Our environment supports social, emotional, cognitive, physical, technological and creative learning.
At Emmanuel Anglican Kindergarten, we are proud to provide a multicultural curriculum and celebrate a variety of cultural events and holidays throughout the year.
Excursions are a key part of Emmanuel Anglican Kindergarten’s curriculum. Venturing out into the local area allows children to explore the world around them, and feel a part of a community.
At Emmanuel Anglican Kindergarten, we are very conscious of keeping our staff and children safe in the sun; therefore, we are official participants in the SunSmart program.
We run a program to help children cope with this exciting and challenging period of change. Partnering with our local primary school, the children have the opportunity to visit and interact with students.
The Emmanuel Kindergarten programs are underpinned by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Originally developed in Reggio Emilia, a town in northern Italy, this educational approach is recognised and respected for its innovative practices, respecting children as capable and powerful directors of their own learning. The teacher recognises that each child is unique and provides scenarios and opportunities that are worthy of exploration and investigation.
Our kindergarten program manifests this philosophy by recognising the contribution that each unique person can make in creating our learning community. Each child is placed at the centre of their own learning, and given opportunities to follow their interests, thus exploring the world and their identity, their own potential, and being able to blossom at their own pace.
We understand that children:
We know that if we can arouse wonder and curiosity, and support investigation, knowledge and understanding will arise. We know that parents are the primary educators of children and integral in enabling a rich, vital and flourishing kindergarten life and community.
