We are a well established Preschool located in Keysborough. We provide quality programs for both 3 year old and 4 year old children.
We provide children with opportunities to develop caring, positive and nurturing relationships with friends and educators. Corrigan Rex Preschool strives to provide an inviting, supportive and rich learning environment for every child and family.
We encourage children to play, observe and respect the natural environment, incorporating sustainable practices. We also teach and model reusing and recycling in our activities.
Corrigan Rex Preschool has been rated as Exceeding National Quality Standards, demonstrating our commitment to our children and their families.
We learn about our Indigenous community and their and our connection to the earth. Excursions are a key part of our curriculum. Exploring the local area allows children to interact with the world around them, and feel a part of a community.
At Corrigan Rex Preschool, we are very conscious of keeping our staff and children safe in the sun; therefore, we are official participants in the SunSmart program.
We acknowledge families as their child’s first teachers and engage in family centred practice. Building inclusive, positive relationships supports children to feel respected, valued and develop a sense of belonging.
Learning and development is holistic and different for each child. We value and respect children as unique individuals, supporting every child to experience success and positive learning and development. We scaffold children’s learning by incorporating their thoughts and ideas into our programs.
We prioritise children’s safety and wellbeing, teaching social and emotional skills, which are essential for good mental health. Developing caring, constructive and nurturing relationships with friends and teachers, supports children to explore, experiment and question.
We learn about our community and the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the Land, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. We encourage children to play, observe and interact with nature and incorporate sustainable practise. Through this, children learn to care for and respect the natural environment and develop a connection to their world.
