Begin the adventure at Bayles Preschool!

Welcome to our 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten programs! At Bayles Preschool, we provide an environment where children thrive and become active participants in their learning and the community. At Bayles, we create a stimulating and diverse environment, which reflects the individual interests and uniqueness of each child.

We encourage the children to explore aspects of the natural and man-made environments and we foster sustainable practices including recycling, reusing and reducing our impact on our environment.

Excursions are a key part of our curriculum at Bayles Preschool. Venturing out into the local area allows children to explore the world around them, and feel a part of a community.

Our Philosophy

We endeavour to recognise and meet the children’s individual and collaborative emotional, social, cognitive and physical development. We believe that children learn best through play and sensory experiences. It is through these experiences that children gain the knowledge and understanding of belonging to community, developing self-identity, establishing knowledge of their own wellbeing, self-help skills and independence.

We also believe that children learn best when they feel comfortable, know what is expected of them, can experience success and are able to express themselves in a warm, secure, accepting and nurturing environment.

We believe that a valuable foundation for growth and development is grounded in each child’s opportunity to persist when faced with challenges and when first attempts are not successful.

Educators engage in family-centred practice respecting the pivotal role of families in children’s lives. We use the families understanding of their children to support shared decision making, and to scaffold each child’s learning and development.

The program provides a balance of indoor and garden play areas, and opportunities to engage in group, quiet and active play. We aim to educate and motivate children to want to live healthy lifestyles and be active.
