My Family Day Care, Nurture Nature Early Learning Family Day Care, provides children with a safe, secure, memorable, loving and fun environment. My caring and personal approach will help your child thrive and support them in learning at their own pace. It is important to me that the children are cared for well and are provided with the best learning environment
I have been working with children since I was 14 years old – babysitting my brother, sister, cousins and children of family friends. It was a BUSY household but I have lots of memories of laughter and fun; making mud soup, discovering and collecting insects and pretending to get lost in the yard. These experiences have made me a sensitive and compassionate educator; able to identify children’s needs and interests. I enjoy and have a passion for working with children’s different styles of learning, encouraging and building on their curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence and imagination. We explore the outside world, explore the local bushland and visit local story time and playgroups. All these enable children to become confident and involved learners, meeting milestones in their development.
All children are naturally curious and playful and I take the time to observe from your child’s point of view and gain an understanding of the connections that they are making. I believe that children learn best through play and in my service, there are new experiences every day that will encourage your child to use their imagination and intuition to explore new possibilities. The playgroups we attend, organised by the bestchance Coordination Team are a highlight. They give Educators and children the chance to socialise with other bestchance Family Day Care groups.
This passion for education has lead to further studies and I am currently studying my Bachelor of Education Primary and Early Years and working towards graduating as a Montessori teacher. Using the Montessori approach within my service also gives me the opportunity to use a hands on approach to help develop your child’s life skills, independence and self-confidence, as well as nurturing an understanding of the importance of the natural environment and everything in it.
