This mother-daughter dynamic duo has opened their own Family Day Care to share their love of learning with young families in a home-setting, and share their enthusiasm and knowledge with each another.
Having watched her mother find joy in the field, upon finishing high school Jessica decided to pursue her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from The University of Melbourne. Her most rewarding moments are knowing she has connected with the children, being able to “witness each child’s growth and achievements” and being visited by her past students when they have grown. Jessica can’t wait to create new memories with the children, encouraging their growth and development through play and exploration. Jessica enjoys “opening her home to little children’s smiley faces each day!”
Ivy has worked in the childcare field for 17 years, she loves her job and the different challenges she faces, “I love the feeling of overcoming challenges.” The moments that make Ivy feel most proud are the parents feedback about her program and when the children run to her when they arrive and give her a hug.
