I have over 15 years experience as a Family Day Care educator caring for children from babies, through to preschool and primary school aged children. I am able to accommodate for the individual care needs of each family through consultation with parents about. By providing regular feedback about their children’s development, portfolio updates, and including family input in my program, I provide an environment that enhances the children’s development and learning, and provides a space for fun and play.
A combination of indoor and outdoor activities and experiences are provided for the children. I have a large shaded outdoor play area which has a swing, multiple slides, climbing equipment, a digging patch, large strawberry pots, and lots of space for active play. Indoors the children take part in a variety of regularly changing activities, including art and craft, painting, playdough, puzzles, dress ups, construction, musical instruments, train sets and much more. We also attend an outdoor gardening playgroup in Vermont.
Children follow their own regular routines for sleeping and eating. I am qualified in child care and have a tertiary degree in Education, Special Education, English, and Art.
