I have been a Family Day Care Educator for the last 15 years. I decided to become an Educator because I love being part of a child’s development and watching them grow and participate. It is a very fulfilling role. I also find that I bond with young children very easily, which I believe helps with their development.
I enjoy getting to read to the children. It’s different every time even when they demand I read them the same story. I love applying new craft ideas and helping the children with their creations. We also frequently go on excursions to the local park. I am proud of the service I provide, I feel very proud when parents tell me about how their child talks about me when they are at home. The children often say they want ‘to go to auntie Sue’s house’. This gives me so much joy.
