I decided to become a Family Day Care Educator because I love being close to families and children and the small group of children I care for in a Family Day Care setting allows for stronger bonds. I love the fact that the children feel at home in my home, it is more relaxing and less stressful for them to be in a home environment. The relaxed environment allows them to develop a strong sense of self and community.
I enjoy designing a program for each individual child that focuses on their strengths. It is a privilege to help them improve their skills. I am proud of the service I provide and the experiences I facilitate. My pedagogy, creativity and friendly personality are my strengths in supporting the development and learning of the children in my care.
