I have been working as a Family Day Care Educator since 2010 and I have my Diploma in community services – Child Care. I have a son at high school, a daughter at primary school and my husband is a carpenter.
The children in my care are encouraged to explore our open planned play spaces. We have a large double garage, which is an amazing space for gross motor experiences including bikes and scooters. We have our outdoor play area which includes a rock wall, ladder and slide. We also have a cubby house and an underneath sand pit. My philosophy is to encourage all children to grow and develop at their own rate, with guidance, in a fun and nurturing environment.
I love that Family Day Care provides close interactions between families and educator. In many occasions, numerous members of the one family move through your service. I enjoy watching and guiding the children’s growth and development, it is an amazing opportunity.
I am proud of the warm family environment that my service provides, the children all feel like it is their own home when they are at Robbie’s. We have the flexibility to go out into our local community and participate in many different experiences. We also have a great network of Educators who meet up regularly and provide the children with opportunities to meet and form new friendships with the other children and become familiar with the other Educators too.
