Glen Waverley Children's Centre

With high ceilings, expansive spaces and natural light, the Glen Waverley Children’s Centre creates a welcoming atmosphere where children feel safe, comfortable and part of a community.

We offer both Long Day Care and 4-year-old kindergarten programs in our modern, well-equipped playrooms and early learning spaces.

Our ample outdoor play areas protect children from the elements, allowing them to enjoy outdoor exploration for the greater part of the year.

Our programs are developmentally appropriate and responsive to the needs and interests of each child. Qualified Early Childhood Educators create and facilitate these new learning experiences to encourage constructive learning, imaginative play and the early development of resilience and social skills.

  • Open 52 weeks of the year
  • Open 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • Flexible session times for kinder program
  • Casual care options for permanent bookings

What we offer

Our dining room fosters a sense of community through food and is an opportunity for our children to enjoy quality meals whilst developing social skills and a lifelong respect for nutrition.

We provide five healthy and nutritious meals to both childcare and kinder children. Our menu is seasonally crafted, catering for all dietary and cultural requirements. Even our sessional kinder children receive a hot lunch!

Our educators are highly qualified and experienced. Many are bilingual and come from diverse cultural backgrounds. We use this cultural diversity to add authenticity to our multicultural curriculum.

We use the Storypark app to engage with parents and keep them up to date with their child's learning as it happens. Photos, video, audio and observations are recorded by our expert educators in the secure online app.

Having both childcare and kinder on site, working parents can feel assured that their child is well-cared for both before and after sessional kinder programs.

I went on an impromptu tour and was greeted by the lovely new Centre Coordinator Sarah Gandolfo. The tour was informative, rooms were clean, learning programs were on display and most importantly, the children and staff in the rooms were engaged and happy! The entry foyer is warm and welcoming, complete with a lovely water feature with turtle, fish and water dragon. It was lovely to see the photos of staff rather than just names. It so much easier to have a conversation about your child when you know who you are talking to. Sarah spent time with me explaining the Centre’s age and developmentally appropriate play-based programs. I also really appreciated the staffs supportive interactions to promote independence and emotional intelligence in the children in their care. Looking forward to school, I know this will have a positive impact on that transition.
