Situated alongside Bass Valley Primary School, Bass Valley Children’s Centre provides Long Day Care and 4-year-old kindergarten, as well as Casual Care, Out-of-School-Hours Care, School Holiday Care and Early Childhood Intervention Services.
Our centre focusses strongly on community, environment and family. We have a multipurpose space, children’s library, community kitchen and consulting rooms for family healthcare professionals.
Our program offers a holistic approach to learning by providing all children with experiences appropriate to their stage of development to promote positive learning outcomes. Children are supervised by experienced childcare professionals in bright and spacious playrooms. This positive environment encourages constructive learning, imaginative play and the development of social skills.
Our dining room fosters a sense of community through food and is an opportunity for our children to develop strong social skills and a lifelong respect for nutrition.
Our children are encouraged to sleep outdoors when the temperature is appropriate. This innovative practice benefits the immune system, enhance sleep patterns and create a calmer temperament.
Our kindergarten curriculum includes learning a language other than English, as part of the Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) program. Currently our children are learning French.
We use the Storypark app to engage with parents and keep them up to date with their child's learning as it happens. Photos, video, audio and observations are recorded by our expert educators in the secure online app.
With childcare and kinder on site, working parents can feel assured that their child is well-cared for both before and after kinder programs. Additionally, we offer casual and outside of school hours care.
