Early Childhood Educators Play Big Roles in Little Lives
Today, a national campaign has been launched by the Early Learning and Care Council of Australia (ELACCA) to encourage secondary students into a rewarding career in the early learning and care sector.
From today, the Big Roles in Little Live YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook accounts will showcase the incredible impact early childhood professionals can have on children.
“We want people to know that early childhood teachers have never been more important for Australian children and families, and for the economy more broadly. These are roles with purpose, satisfaction and great career prospects,” said Elizabeth Death, CEO of ELACCA.
“We know that young Australians, in particular, have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with youth unemployment rates more than double that of the general population.
As an educator and employer of the industry Bestchance is a proud supporter of this campaign. With 34 kindergartens, 3 childcare centres, 1 specialist primary school, 4 children’s therapy clinics and over 90 family day care homes around Victoria, bestchance knows the industry because we are the industry!
“Now is the perfect time for young people to enrol at a university or vocational education provider to study early childhood education in 2022.
“A career in early learning means experiencing the deep satisfaction of undertaking genuinely important work, along with career advancement and leadership opportunities,” Ms Death said.
Bestchance has been training early childhood educators for 28 years, providing quality accredited training in Victorian communities, which is why 85% of our students obtained employment during or shortly after their studies. We offer flexible study options to work around your lifestyle and we also have accelerated pathways into university.
We, along with the Early Learning and Care Council of Australia, are encouraging you to enrol in an early childhood education qualification for 2022 and start your career adventure!
