The Bunyip Kindergarten educators, families and local community members joined together recently to celebrate the completion of their new state-of-the-art kitchen facilities.
Over the past years, these tireless individuals have dedicated their time and resources towards the completion of the project. The refurbishment was financed through grant application and fundraising activities organised by the Parent Advisory Group.
The morning tea included local Councillors, Bendigo Bank representatives, the Country Women’s Association, community members, bestchance support staff, Educators, families and children. The staff created a presentation that showed their vision for the future, including architectural drawings and a staged plan for completion.
Two individuals were also recognised for continuing to be a driving force behind the renovations of the kindergarten, Shara McAuley and her husband John McAuley. Both have been involved in the PAG for some years, as their 3 boys have attended the early years’ education facility. John, an architect, has provided the plans and scope of the project, whilst Shara has been involved in all stages of planning and fundraising.
The morning was a memorable event in recognition of the hard work and commitment of all those involved in the project. Bunyip Kindergarten is now looking forward to their next improvement project, updating their facilities to ensure a modern and safe space for the children to come and learn.
