Certificate III in Education Support (CHC30213):

  • Are you currently working as a teacher’s aide and would like to gain your qualification?

Why not complete Certificate III in Education Support CHC30213 and become a teacher’s aide or support worker?

After completing the Certificate III in Education Support CHC30213 you will have the qualification necessary to be an Education Assistant, Support Worker, Teacher’s Aide or a Teacher’s Assistant. You will use organisational procedures and individual children’s profiles to help plan and support children’s needs in specified learning areas, in consultation with teachers and other support staff. Depending on your facility, you may work under direct supervision or autonomously. At this level, you are also required to work with your local community in the provision of services, to ensure that the activities planned for the children meet their individual needs and circumstances. Other occupational titles for the graduates of the Certificate III in Education Support CHC30213 include home tutor, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Education Worker, Language Worker, Literacy Worker or Homeland Teaching Assistant.

This course will require you to complete a total of 120 hours of practical work placement. These hours will be completed on a volunteer basis, unless you are already employed as a Teacher’s Aid, in which case you are more than welcome to use your current workplace and hours to meet the 120 hour requirement.

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113)

After completing the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113) you will have the qualification necessary to be a child care assistant in a pre-school or long day care setting, or work as a family day carer or nanny.

Your role will include planning activities for, and providing care to, children. You will also facilitate children’s leisure and play and enable them to achieve their developmental outcomes.

You may work under direct supervision or autonomously, depending in which centre you are based. At this level, you are also required to work with your local community in the provision of services to ensure that the activities planned for the children meet their individual needs and circumstances.

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113) is the entry level qualification into the Children’s Services industry and allows graduates to gain employment as Child Care Assistants, Family Day Carers, Nannies and Child Care Workers. Students who complete this qualification may decide to further their studies in the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50113).

bestchance Training is delighted to announce the launch of our new Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50113). We are also very excited to announce that we have developed our own materials for the course which has had input and endorsement from our own Industry experts from our Child Care Centre.

Our delivery model is aimed at those who are already working in the industry with a requirement to attend one workshop per month which is scheduled on a Saturday to cater for those working full time. The course duration is 12 months.

This qualification covers workers who are responsible for developing and evaluating the program. Workers at this level have responsibility for the supervision of other staff and volunteers and in most States it is the highest qualification required at Director or Service Manager level. The Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) CHC50113) is designed for participants who intend to work as a Director or Supervisor in a Long Day Care Centre, Occasional Care Centre, as an assistant in a Kindergarten or Pre-school, as a Family Day Care Coordinator or as a Child Development Officer.

Other occupational titles for the graduates of the Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) CHC50113 include: Child Care Worker, Team Leader, Group Leader, Program Leader, Service Manager, Service Director, Special Needs Inclusion Worker, Family Day Career or Service Coordinator.
