Course Details:
Pre-requisite: THHGHS01B, 'Follow workplace hygiene procedures'.

This unit complies with the legislative requirements for food safety in Victoria and covers the ability to supervise the day-to-day implementation of the food safety program within cafes & restaurants.

Course Content:
Implement the food safety program
Assist in the identification of breaches of food safety procedures
Monitor the implementation of the food safety program in the workplace
Take corrective action when a food safety hazard is found not to be in control
Maintain food safety in the workplace

Recognition:
On successful completion of the course, students are issued with a Statement of Attainment for the unit 'Implement food safety procedures' which is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework. Participants wishing to engage in further education will gain recognition for this competency.
