Suitable for:
Individuals who are working, or volunteering within the realms of community information or its associated areas.
Career Opportunities:
Qualified Community Information Workers are sought by agencies dealing in such areas as community support, emergency relief, crisis management and counselling referral.
Course Details:
This course includes an accredited unit of competency drawn from the Community Services package. Participants completing the course will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit CHCCS6B Assess & deliver services to clients with complex needs. A minimum of 14 hours of practical placement with an appropriate community provider is required for completion of the course.
Recognition:
The accredited unit CHCCS6B Assess and deliver services to clients with complex needs, is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework. Participants wishing to engage in further education will gain recognition for this competency.
Course Length:
6 weeks (1 day per week)

Wednesday
11th March - 6th May
Assessment:
Some practical work is required and participants will need to allocate time for revision and assignments.
