Suitable for:
This nationally recognised qualification is delivered part-time and is aimed at people who are working or wish to work with children. This course involves the use of organisational policies, procedures and individual children’s profiles to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes. Depending on the setting, workers may work under direct supervision or autonomously.

This qualification opens up a whole world of opportunity for students and can lead to employment as a child care assistant, family day carer, nanny or child care worker (unqualified).

Selection Criteria:
An interview will be conducted to ensure that the applicant possesses the motivation to complete the course and has an aptitude for childcare work.

One Full Semester
and 185 hours work placement

9:30am - 3:00pm
Tuesday and Thursday
13th July 2010 - 21st December 2010
6:30pm - 9:30pm
Some Saturday workshops will also be scheduled
Assessment:
Assessments are undertaken using a variety of methods including, observation, written assignments/projects, case studies, scenarios, role plays, oral/written questionin and work placement tasks.
Course Fees:
Full fee: $1018.00
Concession: $510.00
The fee structure will be discussed at the interview.
This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding.
